Capital investment meets, no deal

Yesterday at the Capitol

The capital investment working group met again yesterday and continued discussion on the overall size of the bill. The meeting only lasted an hour and then legislative leaders were scheduled to meet with the governor later in the evening. There was no indication of when the working group will meet next.

Minnesota Management and Budget Commissioner Tom Hanson spoke regarding the issue of bond sales and said that there were funds available immediately for programs such as HEAPR. Hanson told working group members that MMB would review if other projects or programs could be funded ahead of a new bond sale.
