The House introduced their bonding bill this morning. For the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, the House bill is at $338.6 million, of which $60 million is for HEAPR. You may find the bill, HF 2700, here.
At the press conference this morning, House Capital Investment Chair Alice Hausman, DFL-St. Paul, said higher education is always a priority, because higher education prepares the workforce for the future. She added that it takes the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system 90 days to get jobs out and we should be taking advantage of the construction season by passing an early bill.
